Bicycle Rental Agreement

READ THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS FULLY AND CAREFULLY PRIOR TO SIGNING. THIS DOCUMENT IS A BINDING OBLIGATION TO INDEMNIFY EVERGREEN BICYCLE WORKS LLC AGAINST CLAIMS BROUGHT AGAINST IT BASED ON YOUR USE OF THE BICYCLE AND ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT.

Release and Waiver of Claims

I agree to hold harmless and indemnify Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC and it’s owners, agents, and employees, as well as the equipment manufacturers and distributors, of any and all loss or damage I may cause to person or property while engaged in bicycle related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, any and all claims for personal injury, death and/or property damage that may arise out of the use of this bicycle and it’s equipment, to myself or others. I assume the risk of actual or alleged transmission of a communicable disease such as COVID-19. I understand and am aware thatriding a bicycle is a HAZARDOUS ACTIVITY. I understand that riding a bicycle involves a risk of injury to any and all parts of my body. I hereby freely and expressly assume and accept responsibility for any and all risks of harm and/or death while participating in this activity.

Terms and Conditions

I hereby agree to the following terms and conditions, the violation of which may result in the immediate termination of the rental, with no refund owed or given:

Acceptable Use.

I acknowledge that I will be the sole operator of the bicycle, and that the bicycle will be ridden in a careful, safe, and conscientious manner. Determination of “unsafe or hazardous” use is at the discretion of Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC. I will at all times adhere to all rules and guidelines posted by Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC, and any applicable laws and regulations.

Prohibited Activities.

I shall not violate the following rules and regulations during operation of the bicycle:

  • An acceptable bicycle helmet MUST be worn at all times while on the bicycle.

  • There are no passengers permitted on the bicycle unless expressly permitted by Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC in writing prior to use.

  • The bicycle must not be operated under the influence of any substance, legal or illicit, that could impair the rider’s coordination or judgement.

Condition of Bicycle upon Return

I shall return the bicycle to the designated area clean and in the same condition as when it was received, excepting ordinary wear and tear. I acknowledge that I am responsible for any damage caused to the bicycle during the rental period. I authorize Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC to inspect the bicycle upon return and charge me for the full amount necessary to cover the repair of damages incurred during the rental period. If the bicycle is returned in a condition beyond repair, I will be charged the full retail value of the bike.

Late Return

If the bicycle is not returned at or before the designated return time, the hourly fee will be charged, up to 3 hours. If the bicycle is not returned after 3 hours, I agree to be charged for an additional day’s rental, plus a late return fee of $50 per day. If the bicycle is not returned after 3 days, I authorize Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC to charge me the full retail value of the bicycle, plus all additional days and late return fees incurred up to that point.

Loss/Theft

I acknowledge that in the event that the bike is lost or stolen, I will be charged the full retail value of the bicycle. No refund will be given for unused rental time, and late return fees still apply if Evergreen Bicycle Works LLC is not given immediate notice.


I have read and understand all the terms, conditions, and rules set forth above, and agree to all terms without reservation or conditions.
